About Tony
Orlowski
Tony Orlowski is the Executive Vice President, Plumbing Group of McWane, Inc.
In this role he has overall responsibility of the AB&I Foundry and Anaco-Husky facilities in California, Texas-based Tyler Pipe & Coupling plants, and the Sri City, India, Coupling plant, which combined account for more than 1,400 team members manufacturing drainage, waste and venting products for the commercial plumbing industry.

A seasoned team member at McWane, Inc., Tony began his tenure with the company in June 1996 as a management trainee at McWane Pipe in Birmingham, Alabama. Over the next 25 years, he amassed a wealth of experience across multiple businesses, including serving as Foundry/Flange Fabrication Manager at Clow Water (now McWane Ductile Ohio) before being named Assistant General Manager of the Tyler South Plant in the Fittings Group and later serving as Assistant General Manager of the North Plant with the Plumbing Group. Most recently, Tony served as Vice President and General Manager, M&H Valve, and Vice President, Operations, Tyler Union.

Tony received a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in engineering from the University of Tennessee. While working for an engineering firm as a postgraduate, he earned his Professional Engineer license. Shortly thereafter, Tony returned to school in Knoxville full time at the University of Tennessee where he obtained a master’s degree in business administration.

Tony and his wife of 27 years, Kim, are blessed with five sons.

Ken Chapman and Tony Orlowski have spent a combined 80+ years working inside industrial settings in the US, Canada, Mexico, and on multiple continents. Those combined experiences include their viewpoints of engineer, front-line supervisor, manager, general manager, executive, consultant, industrial psychologist, as well as other roles and perspectives over the decades. Now they are together offering insights in both the form of a book and in-person educational opportunities leveraging "Safety Beyond The Numbers."
Their experiences demonstrate that normal workplace safety programs and processes most often hit a 'ceiling'. This ceiling may meet the minimum goal of what is sometimes 'acceptable' with safety numbers, but where the health and safety of your team members are at stake, achievements possible beyond the ceiling are possible as the ceiling can be broken. Tony and Ken show how to break through that normal acceptable ceiling using proven strategies they've both deployed and lead successfully.
